On a recent Wednesday we were thrilled to view the Blue Angels practice session as NAS Pensacola as the guest of Lt. Commander James Cox, the number four pilot (CLICK HERE to view a great 15 minute video about him). With us was Honorary Boss, Ken Jernigan. This first day of Fall day began with a solid overcast and blustery winds. We watched as the proficient ground crew prepared the jets for the upcoming practice. Next came the traditional march and boarding of the jets by the Boss, USN Captain Brian Kesselring, and his team. We watched in amazement as the Blues went through their takeoff ritual and spectacular aerial maneuvers.

Nearby, the new Fat Albert stood poised on the ramp. Its USMC crew loading the supplies and material needed for the upcoming air show at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina.
