BLUE ANGELS HOMECOMING SHOW. NAS Pensacola, November 11, 2022. This year's theme was "100 Years of Carrier Aviation." It was the first Homecoming Show held at NAS Pensacola since 2019. The base was closed in December of that year to everyone except DoD ID cardholders due to a cowardly terrorist attack on the base by a foreign national who killed 3 people and injured 8 more. It was great to see the base open again to the countless people who love the Navy and the Blue Angels! The Homecoming Show is their last official show of the season. Soon, the pilots and support team members whose tour with the Blues has ended will leave for other assignments. Replacement pilots have been selected and will soon journey to El Centro, California with the team to prepare for their 2023 season.
