Each year, the FIESTA of FIVE FLAGS organization celebrates the 1559 founding of Pensacola by the famous Spanish Conquistador, Don Tristan de Luna. The festival lasts for 10 days and includes a grand and colorful parade down the streets of Pensacola. Beginning with when the Spanish first founded Pensacola, five different flags have flown over the City: Spanish, French, British, Confederate and, of most proudly, the American.
