During our stay in Shanghai, we visited a shopping mall that is popular with the locals and tourist alike. Wow! They were just like the tourist stores in the U.S.; everything was made in China. As was common throughout the places we visited in China, the ever-seeing Police vans with their TV cameras were visible. I suspect they do a lot to reduce crime in highly populated and tourist areas like the onces visited by us. Then again, they could have just been keeping a close watch on Pete, Carl, and me.
We also toured a store close by to where we had lunch that day that sells hand-made embroidery items created with the finest of silks and needles. The colors and textures were amazing. So were the prices!
