Guestbook for a Deano production
Did you ever post pictures from the even at the travel lodge? The day after the pub crawl scavenger hunt, Mardi Gras weekend?

Bob and Sue traveled with Dean, Norma and others on a Viking rivership cruise to five major Chinese cities and the Yangtze River in July-August, 2017. It was a long and tiring trip, in high heat and humidity, but we saw a lot, learned a lot, a returned only a little worse for the wear. It seems trite to say, but our memories of the trip will be better, longer, and more vivid because of the splendid, professionally-crafted and generously-shared photos made and assembled by Dean Givens, with assistance from Norma and Dr. Sue.

I want to say thank you to Dean and Norma by posting on my website [www.gallamore.com] an article I wrote about the State Capitol of South Carolina at Columbia (the Givens' home state), and the relationship of the State Capitol building and the Capital City of Columbia to South Carolina's railroads. It is one chapter in a book projected to cover each of the state capitals. We didn't see many railroads in China, but I was able to capture a few scenes on my iPhone. While paling in comparison with Dean's photographic artwork, the profusion of China's railway river bridges and its ambitious high speed rail construction program are well worthy of notice.

Well-wishes to all. -- Bob Gallamore, 8/24/2017
