Redline Aerobatic Team
The aerobatic performances of the various stunt pilots always bring a special delight to me. This year was no exception. First to appear each day was the Redline Aerobatic Team featuring Adam Baker and Ken Reider. They were followed by the brillant yellow Extra 300 SHP plane flown by Kevin Coleman. Next was pilot Gary Ward flying a purple and green MX2 airplane that featured maneuvers that went from zero vertical speed to dives at more than 250mph.
My personal favorite, Skip Stewart, closed the civilian aerobatic portion of the show in his red, white and black-checkered Pitts bi-plane. A Decatur, Alabama native, he has performed all over the USA and internationally.
