The Blue Angels, more formally known as the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Team, was formed in 1946. The flight team consists of five U.S. Navy pilots and one USMC pilot. They fly F/A-18 Super Hornets. The flight team is supported by a highly trained aviation support and maintenance team. The Fat Albert team consists of 3 USMC pilots and 5 USMC enlisted crew. Simply stated, these men and women are the best!

How exciting are the Blue Angels? Let me put it this way, all through the day's performances I observed people sitting in their chairs and politely applauding (I call it the golf clap). But when Fat Albert and the Blue Angels Super Hornets took to the air everyone stood, waved, and loudly expressed their excitment! Pensacola is no doubt super proud to be the home of the Blue Angels!
