About half of our trip took place aboard the Viking riverboat VIKING EMERALD. The boat was built in 2011. It is 361 ft. long and five decks high. There are 132 suites and crew of 138, who took care of our every need. The maximum passenger count is 246, but we only had about 190-200 on our trip. The 19 chefs on board ensured that our food was excellent with a variety of Chinese and European style food choices. It was a very pleasant journey down the Yantgze River starting at Chongquin and ending at Wuhan. We will sail on Viking again!
