The Krewe of Lafitte participated in the Twelfth Night Celebration on January 5, 2019, held on the historic streets of downtown Pensacola. The celebration signals the beginning of the Mardi Gras Season, which includes colorful parades, magnificent balls and, of course, King Cake. According to some superstitions, the twelfth night is observed as the day to take down the Christmas tree and decorations. The twelfth night also has religious significance.
