Kusadasi
On a foggy morning, our ship landed at the city of Kusadasi for our land journey to Ephesus, an ancient Greek city located on the coast of Ionia. Ephesus is today a part of Turkey. Under the control of the Romans around 129BC, the city grew greatly in stature. Ephesus is famous for the nearby Temple of Artemis, which is considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and for the Library of Celcus.
