The Ball’s Coronation Ceremony, titled “Not So Happily Ever After”, featured flamboyant, colorful, and magical characters from Walt Disney including Cinderella, Prince Charming, Belle, The Beast, Ariel, Prince Eric, Jasmine, Aladdin, the Evil Queen, and Captain Hook. Each character pair were introduced by the Master of Ceremony, Jiminy Cricket. Things did not always go as Walt Disney would have us believe. About half way through the ceremony, there was a sudden revolt by the male court members, led by the despicable Captain Hook. Even the King, Prince Charming, joined in the doomed to failure exodus. The revolt was rapidly brought under the control of the krewe ladies, who dutifully brandished their magic wands and cast a formidable spell bringing the errant males once again under the Queen’s control.
