Corinth Canal
At 4 miles in length and 70 feet wide, the Corinith Canal cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinith. The canal was cut out at sea level and thus, has no need for locks. It was completed in 1893 following years of financial and construction difficulties. As it is too small for most modern commercial ships, it serves mainly as a tourist attraction.
