Rhodes
Rhodes, also known as the Island of the Knights, is perhaps most famous as the site of the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was destroyed by an earthquake around 224BC. Popular sites on the island include the Medieval Old Town, The Acropolis of Lindos, and the Kahai Shalom Synagogue in the Jewish Quarter.
