THE KREWE of LAFITTE PIRATES FOR PROSTATES GOLF EVENT, presented by Wind Creek in partnership with the Woodlands. The day began with overcast and threatening skies. By our noon start, a light but persistent shower had begun. It later turned into heavy rain and then lightning and thunder, which caused the tournament to be cancelled. Even so, everyone had a great time with plenty of refreshments and food. Special thanks is given to the many event sponsors and sign purchasers who helped ensure a successful charitable event, and of course, to the staff at Scenic Hills Country Club, who persevered in what turned out to be very trying conditions. Unfortunately, I was unable to capture shots of all the teams and major sponsor signs that were posted throughout the course (I don't do lightning!).
