Olympia
Olympia is located on the Peloppense peninsular and is where the ancient Greek Olympic games were first held every four years brom the 8th. century BC to the 4th. century AD. This site was dedicated to the Greek god Zeus. Little remains of the Temple of Zeus, which was built here.
The nearby Archaeological Museum of Olympia houses many of the discoveries of the surrounding area including the site of the original Olympic games.
