The SHOCKWAVE JET TRUCK holds the world speed record for jet-powered full-sized trucks at 376 miles per hour. It was built on a Peterbilt Semi-Truck chassis and has three Westinghouse J-34 jet engines, which date back to the late 1940's. Manufactured in various configurations, they were used in early jets such as the experimental Douglas X-3 Stiletto and D-558 Skyrocket, and the Vought F7U Cutlass. Shockwave performs at airshows throughout the nation each season including the November Blue Angels Homecoming Shows at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, where these photos were taken in 2017 and 2018.
