There are more than 92 million Egyptians, most of which are native Egyptians who make up about 91% of the population. It is estimated that between 84-90% of the population of Egypt are Muslim, about 10–15% are Christian Coptic, and about 1% are considered to be "other Christian". Most Egyptians live near the banks of the Nile River. Close to half of the Egyptian people today live in or very near to cities.
