This Group contains 22 Galleries from our recent travels to Egypt. We journeyed there this past October with our intrepid traveling companions Sue George and Pete Kessler to witness firsthand what was, for me at least, a mystical and exotic part of our planet. In the back of my mind was a concern about traveling to an often troubled part of the world and the potential for personal harm. As it turns out my concerns were baseless as we were well protected and cared for everywhere we traveled.

Words escape me in describing all the astonishing sights from Egypt’s ancient and storied past. Along the way our excellent Tour Manager for the Egyptian segment of our adventure, Sahar Hammad, brought to life thousands of years of history right before our eyes and made what we saw vibrant, alive, and exciting to see.

During our trip, Norma, Sue, and I took over 11,000 photos! If something or someone presented itself before us, we tried to capture it with our cameras or iPhones. I am still in the process of adding some of their photos to those of mine in these Galleries (no, not all 11,000 photos are posted… not even close). NOTE: Canon GX7 photos by Norma. Nikon D-3400 photos by Sue. Nikon D-500 photos by me.

FUN FACT: I believe that Pete and I spent more money going to the bathrooms (Water Closet in Egypt) than we did for food. With rare exception, every trip to the "W.C." required that we tip the caretaker $1.00. They even passed out the toilet paper if required (never enough) as there was rarely any in the bathrooms.

Hopefully, these photos will hep substitute for my inadequate descriptions of what we witnessed. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as we did shooting them. Enjoy! Deano
