ALABASTER FACTORY: One of the "should do" activities when visiting Egypt is to visit an alabaster factory. We made our visit following a tour of The Valley of the Kings. A local guide explained the difference between machine and hand-made products. He and his assistants even put on a short and humorous skit for our group. Once inside, strong Egyptian tea was offered, then the selling and haggling began.
