The second city of our Viking tour, Xi'an has a history that dates back more than 3,000 years. It was the capital of China for 12 imperial dynasties. We spent two wonderful nights here. Xi'an was positioned at the hub of the famous Silk Road and is encircled by an ancient city wall that runs 90 miles in length and is surrounded by deep moats.
